A Rainy Rainy Day
Today was exciting on two fronts and let me tell you about them both, anal retentive style.1. We are one day closer to Chu Chu Thunder and our flight off to beautiful and majestic London.
2. It was the FIRST real day of rain in Edinburgh since we've arrived.
In other news italics are more fun to read then normal lettering.
Tomorrow will bring further headaches as John and I will wait for more emails from people telling us they don't have a couch for us to share and having to deal with U.K post office. If you don't know how John and I feel about the U.K mail or any other mail service please see the definition for the word douchebag in the Websters Dictionary and Encyclopedia.

Yesterday in the land of the lakes and not ANYTHING ELSE, it HAILED and lightning hit between my house and the neighbors'. Twas astonishing. The rain was so heavy everyone's yards were flooded.
You need to Come back to Canada, laddie!
In 1965-69, EVERY summer was like your day in Edinburgh today. That's why we had summer holidays in sunny Italy where it really WAS summery. But when we went back to Edinburgh in the summer of 1984 and the summer of 2003, things had changed and summers were hot and even sunny.Life (and Scotland) wasn't meant to be easy. Grandpa
How many years have you mocked me and my family for taking off our pants when we get home? You now see the rewards!
Love you two,

i'm impressed by the height stuart got on that puddle-splash. it was like, a fulllegheight splash, the sort that only comes with years of practice. i gave it a hearty round of applause.
(i drew you a sweet picture of me in case you don't remember who i am: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v177/Satah/iamholdingaukuleleokay.jpg hopefully you remember now)
when i was a lad, rainy days were for gutter-snipes and rat-fishing. Gutter snipes are tiny creatures that ride the torrential gutter rivers, and try to harpoon the sewer rats. When I was older, rat-fishing involved a hook and line and piece of old sausage, and you'd dangle it down the sewer grates and try to get a bite and bring the rats into view. schoolboy legend was that the rats (like earthworms) were closer to the surface when it rained, but I think the other reason was that lumpy things washing down the drains would catch the line, and make it seem like you had a live rate, hence much more fun than a dry day...
